ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The national “Under the Lights” flag football program has announced the creation of a new recreational youth women's flag football league in the Capital Region. The new league, dubbed “Under the Lights Albany,” will feature two all-girls divisions and four co-ed divisions for children from kindergarten through eighth grade. .
This program provides children ages 5 to 14 with the opportunity to have fun playing structured flag football while working on character development and establishing a sense of sportsmanship. Details of his six divisions in the league are below.
Under the Light Albany Divisions
- Coeducational from kindergarten to second grade
- 3rd and 4th grade are coeducational
- 5th and 6th grade are co-educational
- Years 7 and 8 are coeducational.
- Grades 3 to 5 are all girls.
- Grades 6 to 8 are all girls.

League matches will be held at Afrim's Sports Dome, 4 Jacqueline Avenue, Latham. His first 2024 summer season will run from May to June.
