Georgia Tech just had a great weekend with their 2025 freshman recruiting class, but that doesn't mean they're not looking at the class of 2026. There's a ton of talented players in that class, one of whom received an offer from Georgia Tech today.
2026 wide receiver Zion Crumpton plays at Carver High School in Alabama, and the 6-foot-1185 LBS playmaker earned an offer from Georgia Tech.
It may still be early in the process for Crumpton, but he has other offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi State, South Alabama, Tulane and Vanderbilt. He also has offers from SEC programs, and more will surely come as more people watch his tape. While the main focus may be on the 2025 class, keep an eye on the early 2026 offers and how those relationships progress. That will mean a lot when the focus shifts to the next recruiting cycle.
Georgia Tech had the 13th-ranked freshman class in the ACC going into last official visit weekend, and they shot up to fifth place after the weekend was over.
June is a big month for recruiting, and Georgia Tech had a great day yesterday, landing six players and vaulting into the top 25 in the 247Sports recruiting rankings. After hovering around 50th place, the Yellow Jackets are now ranked 22nd in the country and 5th in the ACC. Clemson, Syracuse, Stanford and Wake Forest are all ranked higher than Georgia Tech, but Georgia Tech's average recruiting rank of 87.35 is higher than every school ranked higher in the ACC except Clemson. Key and his staff have done a great job. They have a chance to move up even further.
