Speaking of cuts and blood, it was Tyson Fury's lacerated eye that delayed Saturday's fight in the first place.

Fury and Usyk were scheduled to fight in February after nearly a year of on-again, off-again negotiations, but the fight was scrapped on two weeks' notice after the Briton was cut.

And there were plenty of other reasons why Saturday's undisputed heavyweight title bout took so long to come together – and why it's been 25 years since the last one…

So there was no drama at today's press conference, but Fury's father John delivered on that front Monday. headbutt One of Usyk's teammates…

Usyk's teammates seemed unfazed by the blow, but the older Fury walked away bleeding from his forehead. It was a strange sight, but one that was not necessary so close to the biggest game of the century.

Here's what John Fury had to say for himself after that incident:

“I’m ready to rock and roll,” Fury says. “Tomorrow night is fireworks. I'm going to put out the spark in this son of a bitch. I'm coming for his heart. That's what I came for, forget about his belt, I'm going to put out his belt. I came to get it.

“His team is shit too, they can all figure it out. There's a lot of them in the s*** house.”

“Don't worry, I won't leave you alone tomorrow,” Usyk replied to Fury.

He asked what his late father would tell him before tomorrow's game. “Son, you can do it,” he says.

The two men unite and Fury chooses to face off against his opponent this time, but a brawl quickly erupts when the Brit shoves Usyk.

The Ukrainian fighter's weight is a career high, with his previous highest weight being around 221.5 pounds, which he reached during his two wins over Anthony Joshua in 2021 and 2022.

In Fury's case, he weighs about 15 pounds lighter than he weighed in his last fight with Francis Ngannou.

And they're here now, Usyk comes out first, followed closely by Fury.

Usyk steps on the scale first… 233.5 pounds for the Ukrainian.
