A fundraising campaign has been launched in memory of Glasgow boxing legend Willie Limond to give him the 'sent off he deserves'.
The former WBU lightweight champion was found unresponsive in his car on Saturday, April 6 and was rushed to Monclad Hospital in Airdrie. It happened just hours before he was due to take part in public training in Glasgow.
The 45-year-old is scheduled to face Joe Laws at the Emirates Arena on May 3, which will be his third fight since coming out of retirement.

Willie's son Jake confirmed yesterday (April 15) that he died at around 3am on April 15 after a nine-day battle.
Tributes poured in for the warrior, with his son saying: “My father passed away early in the morning, around 3am. He fought for almost 10 days. A warrior. I love you.”
St Andrews Boxing Club posted on Facebook: “Everyone at St Andrews Sports Club is shocked and deeply saddened by the death of our friend Willie Limond. Willie was a legend in the world of sport. But he was also a contagious person and will be greatly missed.” All of our thoughts and prayers are with Jake, Drew, Macy, and the rest of the Limond family at this time. ”
Now Willie's rival, Joe Laws, has launched a fundraiser to give Willie a “worthy send-off” and support his sons' boxing careers.

He wrote: “Listen, I'm not a philanthropist or a shitty English teacher or a saint, but my opponent Willie Limond has sadly passed away and I'm completely devastated.”
“He was a former world champion and just wanted to make life better for his family.
“Couldn't we all spend a few pounds to give this great man the send-off he deserves? And Change of Players would be happy to sponsor the boxing careers of his two sons. The name of Rimondo will live on, make your old man proud.''
“Willy, please my old son wait for me at the pearly gates and we can leave right away!!!”
