Argentina will face Iraq in a match against the 2024 Copa America champions on Saturday, kicking off at 9 a.m. ET at the Lyon Stadium in Lyon, France. Soccer legend Lionel Messi will not play for Argentina and Javier Mascherano in the Summer Olympics, saying the Olympics are “too much of a burden” for the 37-year-old after playing in the Copa America earlier this month, plus an MLS schedule with Inter Miami.

Spain, which won the silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, will face the Dominican Republic in their second Group C match on Saturday at 9 a.m. ET.

The featured match on Saturday for American spectators will be the USA vs. New Zealand at 1pm at the Stade de Marseille in Marseille. Similar to Messi's situation with Argentina, the US squad in Paris will be without members of the US Men's National Team, which finished a disappointing third in the group stage of the Copa America earlier this month.
