The highly anticipated first look of EA Sports' College Football '25 is just around the corner, set to debut worldwide on July 19th ahead of the 2024 football season. EA Sports has been releasing teasers for the game over the past week ahead of launch, with college football fans eager to find out how good their favorite teams are. The developer partnered with Pro Football Focus (PFF) to analyze and evaluate thousands of players, stats and game footage in determining where teams fit within the bigger picture of college football.
EA Sports released a list of the top 25 offensive teams featured in the game, and Florida State, surprisingly “offensive” for the reigning ACC champions, made the cut at 22nd (OVR 83). This rating places Florida State just ahead of Oklahoma at 23rd (OVR 83) and behind SMU (21st, OVR 85).

Teams such as Miami (7th), Colorado (8th), Clemson (10th), Utah (11th), Kansas (14th), Arizona (15th), Memphis (19th) and UCF (21st) are all ranked higher than the Seminoles, raising questions about how accurately the virtual world will reflect reality when the game is released.
The Noles lost 10 players to the 2024 NFL Draft but bolstered their roster, acquiring talented transfer students including quarterback DJ Uiagalelei, wide receivers Malik Benson and Jaylen Brown, running back Roydell Williams and All-American returner Jaylin Lucas to pair with a very deep, veteran offensive line.
Uiagalelei passed for 2,638 yards and 21 touchdowns last season and added 216 yards and six scores on the ground. Florida State also returns ACC Championship Game MVP running back Lawrence Toafili, who threw for 649 yards and five touchdowns from scrimmage last season and will now alternate with Trey Benson of the Arizona Cardinals.
Rankings are not finalized at this time and only apply to head-to-head matches. Overall team rankings will be announced on Friday.
