The Florida State Seminoles once again replenished their roster with talent during the offseason, a staple of the Mike Norvell era, and the transfer portal has been friendly to players who have worn the garnet and gold over the years.
The most impactful transfer the team acquired was quarterback DJ Uiagalelei, as the team needed someone under center. Securing the transfer from Oregon State allows the Seminoles to further develop their young quarterback talent.
However, the team is expected to have a tremendous offensive boost, and not just because of Uiagalelei's move: they've added several talented players, as well as young, developing skill players to boost their overall offensive output.

Transfer running back Roydell Williams will be a big addition to the Seminoles running back corps. Lawrence Toafili will likely be the primary running back, but Coach Norvell has rotated a number of running backs over the past few years, so Williams will likely get a fair amount of touches as well.
247Sports ranked the top 20 transferring running backs and broke down each one's destination: Williams was the No. 7 ranked running back in the transfer portal and, of course, landed in Tallahassee.
“Alabama saw an exodus of talent after Nick Saban announced his retirement, but Roydell Williams entered the transfer portal just before the legendary coach left the team. He said Florida State had a “different feel” than the Crimson Tide and would play a big role in a different, playoff-contending offense,” 247Sports wrote. “Williams was one of Alabama's most impactful players last season, rushing for 560 yards and five touchdowns on 111 carries and starting in both the SEC Championship Game and the CFP semifinals.”
Williams got at least six touches in every regular season game for the Crimson Tide last season, including a touch in the SEC Championship game. Though he only got double-digit touches three times, he's ready to play for a Seminoles team that has multiple running backs on offense. He's a solid talent and should make a big impact as a veteran.
