The Florida State Seminoles have shown a lot of promise throughout spring football. Fresh off a season in which they went 13-1 and won the ACC Championship, the Seminoles sent a number of former talents to the NFL this offseason, forcing Mike Norvell and his staff to rebuild their roster.

This creates new opportunities for players to shine and grow into star roles while donning the garnet and gold. Joining NoleGameday's Tribe Check with Emily Peters, running back Laurence Toafili selected players who could “shock some people” this fall after a strong spring football campaign. Not many people have looked at it as closely as the Seminoles themselves.
Toafili drafted former four-star forward Samuel Singleton Jr. to shock people this fall. Considering they've been training together all spring, it makes sense to select a different running back.
“I think Sam Singleton,” Toafili responded to Peters' question, adding, “They don't talk about him much right now, but he's learned a lot, he's grown a lot, he's progressed a lot. “There is,” he said. I love how he looks this spring. I think he's going to shock some people, to be honest. ”
In his fourth season in Tallahassee, Toafili had a season very similar to his 2022 season numerically, with 69 attempts in 13 games for 463 yards and four touchdowns, but more efficiently. Achieved that. He has been involved with Garnet and Gold for some time and has seen a lot of elite talent.
Singleton appeared in two games during last year's redshirt season. He played in the Seminoles' 58-13 win over North Alabama and 63-3 loss to Georgia in the Orange Bowl.
Toafili, who is in his second season on a revamped Seminoles roster, believes Singelton has a chance to surprise people.
