With the world's attention focused on the White House on Monday for the 2023-2024 NCAA champions celebration and the presence of Vice President Kamala Harris, a familiar face from Florida State University came forward.
After Harris addressed the crowd — her first public appearance since President Biden gave up on reelection Sunday and endorsed Harris to run in his place — FSU football star Jordyn Dudley was invited to speak by the vice president.
Dudley spoke about balancing life as a student-athlete and athletic ability on and off the field.
Dudley accompanied the Seminoles soccer team after they defeated Stanford University, 5-1, to win the NCAA women's soccer title last December and represented the team at the event.
This was FSU's fourth win.
“My freshman year at FSU was a dream come true,” Dudley said at the event.
“I've played with and against some of the most talented women in college soccer.”
Who is FSU women's soccer player Jordyn Dudley?
