Freeland has given up just one goal this season, and the Falcons earned their second straight shutout win in girls soccer against Birch Run on Monday.
Freeland, ranked No. 14 in Division 3 in the Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association state poll, won 4-0 in the Tri-Valley Conference behind a fast-break trick from Audrey Mueller and a 3-0 win over Birch Run. They improved their ranking with 0 wins, 0 losses, and 1 draw.
Sessaly Fichtner scored Freeland's first goal of the game, and Muller made it 2-0 at halftime with an assist from Paige Kroha. Müller started the second half with another goal, again assisted by Kroha.
Müller scored the goal with an assist from Adi Kubler.
Freeland opened 0-0 against Frankenmuth, then defeated Alma (3-1), Valley Lutheran (6-0) and Birch Run.

Flint Powers 3, Midland High School 2: After Midland led 2-0, Powers scored at halftime to cut the lead to 2-1, and Powers scored two more goals in the second half to seal the SVL victory. Ellery Laverty and Alana Beckett scored for Midland.

frankenmuth invitation: Heritage shot a 333 at The Fortress on Monday to beat Frankenmuth by two strokes and win the Eagle Invite championship. Heritage's Michael Carle took medalist honors with an 80 point, and Frankenmuth's Miles Patz took third place with an 81 point. Joey Furbush of the Eagles followed in fourth place with 82 points. Lapeer was third with a 350 and Breckenridge was fourth with a 367.

Heritage 15-3, Flint Powers 4-2: Lily Marker led Heritage to the Game 1 victory with four hits and four RBIs, and Alecia Alvarez earned the win with seven strikeouts through the first five innings. Kelsey Hales and Katie Kennedy each had two hits for the Hawks, and Haley Hodges, Vera Robinson and Olivia Hart each had two walks for the Hawks. In the second game, Marker hit the winning RBI in the top of the seventh inning, breaking a 2-2 tie. Hodges got the win for the Heritage team with two runs scored by Violet Brown. Marker and Hart each had two hits.
Hemlock 5-11, Millington 6-7: For the Huskies, Hemlock bounced back from the loss in the opening game, and Addison Stockford had three hits, including a home run. Lillian Martinez added two walks and two hits, including a double and triple. Hemlock got the win with Kayla Konop scoring three runs and Carly Noyes with four hits and eight strikeouts. For Millington, Morgan Matusik and Alexis Hudy each had two hits. In the opening game, Matusik led Millington with a four-hit complete game and had 13 strikeouts. Kendall Payne led the offense with three hits and three RBIs. For Hemlock, Martinez allowed three hits and two RBIs, while Konop had nine strikeouts and allowed six hits.
Brock Creek 17-13, Valley Lutheran 3-3: Brock Creek had Zofia Jean, Brianna Herron and Dakota Swift each have two hits in the opener, and Emma Hanson scored four points. Swift won inside the circle. In the second game, Brock Creek drew seven walks and Hanson led the attack with a triple. Herron allowed three hits and had 10 strikeouts in the win.
St. Louis 17-22, Carrollton 0-2: Monica Bolly had three hits to lead St. Louis to the Game 1 victory, while Emma Seleski, Paige Lunek and Hal Hoyt each added two hits. Lunec won the game with five strikeouts and one hit allowed. Boley won the second game with one hit and five strikeouts. Kennady Henry paced the attack with three hits, while Boley, Seleski and Bryn Saxton each added two hits.
Chesaning 16-10, Ovid Elsie 1-3: Chesanin took seven walks in two innings, scored nine runs in the first inning, and seven runs in the second to win the game. Jiří Popilek led the offense with two doubles, one walk, and five RBIs, and Abby Mader added two hits and three RBIs. Abby VanHaren also had two hits for the Indians, and Breslin Strzok earned the win in the third inning. Popilek led Chesaning's attack with three hits, including a home run, in the Game 2 win. Marenda Jones and Ava Deveraux each added two hits. Popilek allowed four hits and struck out six for the Indians, who are 6-2.
Grand Blanc 7-2, Midland 2-4: Grace Schroup had 10 strikeouts in five innings in the opener, and Morgan Stewart led the offense with hits and RBIs. Chemix came from behind to win the second match and earn an SVL split. Caroline Williams led the offense with two RBIs and two hits, including a home run. Schroup also hit a home run and had nine strikeouts in the win.
Coleman 13-18, Fulton 0-1: Madison Miller had 14 strikeouts in five innings in Game 1, and added two home runs and six RBIs on the offensive side. Eva Gross had three hits for the Comets. In the second game, Coleman scored 18 points in the first inning with two hits and five RBIs, including a home run by Nevaeh Chaffee. Gross threw three no-hitters.

Flint Powers 9-9, Heritage 0-1: Heritage's offense struggled in the SVL doubleheader against Flint Powers. In the opening game, Heritage was held to just two hits by Brady Gotham and Tommy Churchill. In Game 2, Drew Schaefer led the offense with hits and RBIs.
Chesaning 7-10, Ovid Elsie 1-2: Brady Sager won Game 1 with 13 strikeouts in six innings, while Nash Wendling and Keegan Stoddard led the offense with two hits and two RBIs each. Wenring won the second game with seven strikeouts. Max Volk and Eli Keck each had two hits for the Indians, who are 5-3.
Caro 9-10, Brown City 4-1: JAidon Buniak, who finished the game with three strikeouts as a reliever, hit a two-run triple that was the key to Caro's offense. Landin Stein added two hits and Matthew Booms got the win in relief. Landin Stein won the second game with three innings and four strikeouts. Mason Allard led the offense with two hits and three RBIs, and Booms added two hits and two RBIs.
Fulton 3-11, Coleman 0-1: Travis Murray had 11 strikeouts and gave up no earned runs in Coleman's first game. Mason Tucker, who had a hit and a walk in the opening game, added a hit and an RBI in the second game.
