Richard “just accepts it.”
Having qualified for her first Olympic Games, Richard said the time between now and Paris will be scary and there will be a lot of training ahead, but she's “just embracing it”.
“I'm on this journey that every kid dreams about and that I dreamed about, so I'm grateful,” he told reporters after a series of trials today.
Judah's phone rings
Judah said she began crying backstage the moment the first syllable of her name was called.
“My phone is ringing. I'm thinking about how I'm going to hug my mommy and my daddy,” she said of making her first Olympic team. “Every time I think of the words Olympian, it just means so much to me. I can't put it into words.”
Malone determined to win a medal in Paris
“I was a little nervous because my name was announced last,” Malone said after the competition, “so it was a little scary. … I'm just really happy and I'm just going to get back in the gym and start getting ready to go to Paris.”
Malone acknowledged how the U.S. men's team's standing on the world stage has changed since its Olympic debut in Tokyo.
“We have a chance to win a medal and we're going to do it,” Malone said.
“I had a good feeling that I was going to be selected for this team” – Nedrosik
Nedorosic will only compete on the pommel horse at the Paris Olympics, but he is confident he will be able to perform the event perfectly.
“I had a good feeling making this team,” he said after being named to his first Olympic team.
Olympic alternates are Koy Young and Shane Wiskas
Koi Young and Shane Wiskas narrowly missed out on making the official team but are still considered Olympians by the U.S. Olympic Committee.

U.S. gymnasts who won gold at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics took to the stage ahead of the announcement of the 2024 Olympic team.

Sergio Jones officially withdraws from Paris
Serie Jones, a leading member of the women's team, has withdrawn from the Olympic Trials after sustaining an injury while warming up for the vault yesterday.
Jones, a six-time world medalist, had been a sure bet for the Olympic team the past two years. USA Gymnastics announced during the men's competition today that Jones would not be able to make the Olympic team after undergoing additional medical testing.

Frederick Richard Goes to Paris
Due to his outstanding performance at these trials, Frederick Richard officially became an Olympian.
He took first place in the all-around today and placed in the top three in three events, earning him an automatic spot on the Paris Olympic team. The rest of the athletes will have to wait for their fate to be decided by the selection committee.
