2024 French Elite Championships
The first day of the French Elite Championships and Olympic Qualifications will be an exciting and fast-paced one as France takes on its first Qualification round. As a reminder, the French selection procedure is based on Olympic Qualification times, but does not guarantee automatic qualification, as team selection is at the sole discretion of “Le Directeur Technique National” owned by Jacco Verhaeren.

Today in swimming, multiple Olympic competitors were honored. Marie Wattel Wattel has successfully qualified for her second Olympic Games in the 100m butterfly. The national record holder clocked 57.49 seconds this morning, more than a second off the previous record, but she still has about a month to prepare.
With Anastasia Kirpichnikova in Paris David AubreyBoth were France's fastest swimmers in the 400m freestyle, and Kirpichnikova had swam for the Russian Olympic Committee in Tokyo because her country was not allowed to use its name due to a doping scandal, giving her the honour of representing her country at a second Olympic Games.
