Four out of five women believe remote work has expanded their employment opportunities, according to a survey conducted by technology advisory firm Ensono.

Ensono conducted a survey of 1,500 full-time female professionals, including Indian nationals, to understand the experiences of women working in the technology industry.
Although progress has been made in gender equality in technology, women still face several challenges.

73% of respondents said they would take on more responsibilities than their male colleagues after their workforce was cut in 2023.

26% of hybrid and in-person respondents said they have felt uncomfortable or unsafe at in-person work due to microaggressions or other forms of discrimination, up from 20% a year ago.

Among Indian respondents, 62% struggled to balance caregiving responsibilities with in-person work.

Generative artificial intelligence offers new career opportunities for women in technology.
