“First of all, I would like to thank the Most High for blessing me with this opportunity. Since I was five years old, a significant portion of my life has revolved around the state of Florida. Ask anyone who's been around me throughout my journey, from running around Doak as a kid to running out of the tunnel for the first time against Notre Dame my freshman year. I wanted to be a part of the legendary game program and make my presence felt during my stay here. But I hope the Lord leads you to the next big thing. I have great faith in God to guide me on these journeys. With that said, after a long discussion with God and my family, and careful consideration, I am entering the transfer portal with two years of eligibility.” Floyd wrote.
“Thank you to my family for supporting me no matter what. Coach Norvell, Coach Fuller, Coach Surtain, Coach Woodson, thank you for giving me the opportunity to play for the Noles,” Floyd continued. “Thank you to everyone involved in FSU athletics and your endless love and relationships… And lastly, to my teammates, for encouraging me every day and being my brothers for life. I'm grateful that this decision was difficult to make. I will continue to climb that 1% every day. I will forever bleed Garnet & Gold and forever call myself a Florida State Seminole. Thank you. Dorkboy for life! J.Floyd is out – Love 39.”
