Morgantown, West Virginia – The West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced a promotional schedule for 2024 football home games to be played this fall at Milan Puskar Stadium.
The highly anticipated Coal Rush Game will feature a home game between Kansas, Iowa State, Kansas State or Baylor at a date to be announced at a later date. All fans in attendance are encouraged to wear black at the game and join the Mountaineers as they debut their new black alternate uniforms, paying tribute to the state's rich coal heritage and honoring the miners who work underground every day to provide energy for the world. The Built on Bravery collection, supporting the coal-themed uniforms, is available in stores now, with more product to be added throughout the fall.
WVU's annual Hall of Fame Weekend games will also be announced at a later date. Selected games will feature a pre-game induction ceremony and in-game recognition of the WVU Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2024. The pre-game induction ceremony will take place at the Caperton Indoor Facility and is free and open to the public.

Stripe the stadium
The 2024 home opener against Penn State will be a Stripe the Stadium game. Fans sitting in the even sections (Sections 102, 104, 202, 204, etc.), the Touchdown Terrace and WVU students sitting in the upper class student section are encouraged to wear their gold uniforms during the game. Fans sitting in the odd sections (Sections 101, 103, 201, 203, etc.) and WVU students sitting in the lower class student section are encouraged to wear their blue uniforms during the game. FOX Big Noon Kickoff
The season opener on August 31, marking the 61st meeting between the schools, has been selected as FOX's Big Noon Saturday game. The biggest pregame party of the weekend, the Big Noon Kickoff pregame show, will also be held live from Morgantown, giving fans a chance to tune into Mountaineer Nation on a national broadcast in an exclusive atmosphere from one of the most exciting campuses in college football. The show will provide previews of the day's top college football games and in-depth analysis of the Big Noon Saturday matchups.
The BIG NOON KICKOFF pregame show will air at 10 a.m. from Almost Heaven Village presented by ReBuilders, located between the Light Blue and Teal Lots, with kickoff at noon inside Milan Puskar Stadium.

The annual Gold Rush Game will be played against Albany on September 7. All fans in attendance are encouraged to wear gold clothing during the game.
