Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis left the basketball court and entered the boxing ring with Jalen Walker.
In a June 2023 clip reposted by Walker and Top Rank on Saturday, the Lakers big man sparred with an undefeated boxer.
Davis, wearing Lakers purple and gold with a gray sweater, laughed in his corner before dragging the much smaller Walker across the ring. In a short montage, even though Davis had much better reach, he appeared to be struggling to land punches.
The 5-foot-8 Walker didn't pull any punches, but he danced around the 6-foot-10 hoops star while wearing his headgear.
Skywalker is preparing for his fight against Alejandro Guerrero on April 13th. Walker has won four straight since Angel Contreras in April 2021.
Davis has played most of this season, missing only four games so far with the Lakers.
The former No. 1 overall pick is averaging 24.4 points, 12.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists while shooting 55.5 percent from the field. The Lakers hold a record of 38 wins and 32 losses and are in 9th place in the Western Conference.
Davis is the Lakers' leader in rebounds and blocks this season, while LeBron James leads in points, assists and steals.
They have 12 games left in the regular season and will likely play in the play-in tournament in April. In the play-in photo, fellow California team Golden State joins them in 10th place and Sacramento in 8th place.
The heavily favored Phoenix Suns have also struggled to find their footing and sit in the No. 7 seed.
