Legal editing software company BriefCatch has expanded its executive team by hiring three legal tech veterans into key positions.
The hire follows the company raising $3.5 million in an oversubscribed seed round last year.
At the time of the funding, founder and CEO Ross Guberman said the company plans to use the funding to expand its team, launch new products, and develop AI-powered features.
To deliver on that promise, the company today announced the hiring of Lidia Frocchini as chief marketing officer, Darren Schleicher as chief sales officer, and Kyle Barr as product manager for AI and other new products.

Lydia Flocchini
Flocchini, who joins BriefCatch as Chief Marketing Officer, is an industry veteran with 30 years of leadership experience having served as Chief Marketing Officer at Thomson Reuters, Lex Machina, Logikcull and most recently SurePoint Technologies.
She was named an ILTA Influential Woman in Legal Tech for 2023, was inducted as a Fellow at the College of Law Practice Management last year and received the Demand Gen Report's B2B Innovator award in 2021.
At BriefCatch, he will be responsible for building and expanding the company's go-to-market efforts, overseeing everything from branding, messaging and product marketing to revenue operations, sales enablement and community.

Darren Schleicher
Schleicher joins BriefCatch as Chief Sales Officer after spending 10 years at Rex Machina, where he was head of sales and sales strategy. He will be responsible for leading the sales team to drive revenue growth and expand market awareness.
Earlier in his career, he worked at Thomson Reuters as an Enterprise Sales Executive working with large law firms and Fortune 500 companies, and he has also held senior sales roles at several other companies.

Kyle Barr
Bahr joins BriefCatch as product manager of AI and new products, most recently serving as founder and CEO of consulting firm Sea Change Legal Ops, where he helped clients develop tech-enabled strategies to leverage generative AI responsibly.
Previously, he served as Senior Counsel to WESCO Distribution's Global Legal Committee and previously served as a litigation attorney at White & Case and Reed Smith, and as a law clerk to a federal district court judge.
In his new role, he will lead the launch of a suite of AI-enabled products to help legal professionals communicate more effectively.

An active year
BriefCatch is legal editing software that runs inside Microsoft Word and offers more than 11,000 law-specific writing suggestions. Since raising a seed round last year, the company has expanded the product to also work in Outlook and released a new product, ClientCatch, that automates the creation of client alerts.
The firm also formed a drafting advisory board of 35 judges, lawyers and academics, “each hand-picked for their knowledge of legal drafting,” including legal commentator and newsletter author David Rutt. Jurisdictionsubmitted to the Board of Directors.
