BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, Fla. – Ahead of his first season at the helm, the Florida Tech men's soccer team and head coach Nick Robinson have announced the team's 2024 schedule. The schedule features 17 games, including eight at home and 10 in the Sunshine State Conference.
Florida Tech's regular season opens with a neutral-site game against Lander in Winter Park on Sept. 6. Two days later, the Panthers will face Wingate at the same location on the afternoon of Sept. 8. On Sept. 10, the team will embark on its first full road game, traveling to Saint Leo to take on the Lions.
Limestone visits Melbourne the following week on September 17 before the Panthers embark on a two-game road trip to begin conference play.
“Our season opener will be against three teams that are primarily nationally ranked in Wingate, Lander and Rollins, which will give us a good indication of where we stand early in the season,” said Coach Robinson. “Our home opener on September 17th will be a rematch of last season's regional final against Limestone College, which we hope will be another big test before the start of conference play.”
The Panthers will open SSC play at Rollins College on Sept. 25 before traveling to Daytona Beach to take on Embry-Riddle University three days later (Sept. 28).
October will begin with the Panthers hosting Saint Leo for the second time on Oct. 2. Florida Tech will then travel to St. Augustine to take on Flagler on Oct. 5 before returning to Melbourne to face Palm Beach Atlantic on Oct. 9.
The team will travel to Tampa on Oct. 12 before taking on Nova Southeastern on Oct. 16 in Fort Lauderdale.
The Panthers will play five of their final six regular-season games at home. Florida Southern University and Rollins College are in Melbourne for the next two games. The Mocs visit on Oct. 19 and the Tars visit on Oct. 23.
On Oct. 26, Florida Tech will play its final true away game of the season against Eckerd College in St. Petersburg before playing three home games to close out the 2024 season.
October will conclude for Florida Tech as they host Lynn on Oct. 30. The final two games of the regular season will see Nova Southeastern University and Barry University appear in Melbourne on Nov. 2 and 8, respectively.
“Our conference schedule is always going to be tough, so I'm excited to see what this team can accomplish in the 2024 season,” Robinson said.
The Sunshine State Conference Tournament will run from Nov. 11-17, with the NCAA Championships beginning Nov. 22.
Florida Tech is coming off a season with 13 wins, 3 losses and 5 ties and will advance to the NCAA Final Four during the 2023 season.
