Jennier Rojas' fight at Fusion Fighting Championship 74 ended in the most brutal fashion ever seen in an amateur MMA bout.
Peru's FFC maintains a busy schedule for 2024, holding its fourth event of the year, FFC 74, on April 18th at Lima's Centro de Convenciones de Barranco.
FFC 74 featured a bout for the promotion's middleweight title featuring champions Jose Galindo and Marcos Luz, and also featured several amateur bouts, with Rojas defeating Diego Espinoza near the end of the second round. won a surprising victory.
Rojas landed a perfectly timed right hand that appeared to chase Luz to the canvas, but the impact was so strong that the Peruvian was knocked out before a few follow-up hammerfists.
This made it difficult for Luz to make his FFC debut, but Rojas is currently on a winning streak, having won by decision over Gabriel Ortiz in his debut at FFC 72 earlier this year.
Rojas had never won a match with a finish until this performance. If his victory over Espinoza is any indication of his power, the Peruvian may be tempted to bite or throw his hands a little more often in future fights.
