Senior Abigail Rausch (Jackson, New Jersey) and samantha robison (Wrentham, Mass.) has earned its fourth consecutive National Academic Squad spot in 2023. This prestigious recognition is awarded to individuals who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester of the current academic year and are nominated by a dedicated NFHCA member coach.
Koutu and Luongo received further recognition as NFHCA Distinguished Scholars for their efforts in the classroom. The two achieved this feat by achieving a cumulative grade point average of 3.9 or higher throughout the fall semester of the 2023-24 academic year.
As a group, the Crimson and Gray were one of 61 Division III programs to win the National Academic Team Award. Team honors are earned by programs that record a 3.5 GPA or higher during the fall semester of the current academic year. The Crimson and Gray won the team award for the 20th consecutive season.
WPI finished 10-9, 7-2 in NEWMAC play en route to clinching a home game as the No. 3 seed in the 2023 NEWMAC Field Hockey Tournament, losing to MIT in the semifinals.
