• caleb williams versus Marvin Harrison Jr. Discussion: The first overall pick in the Dynasty Superflex Rookie Draft depends on how close the top two rookies are.
• There was no agreement to end the first round: After the first few picks, there are a variety of options depending on where someone lands and how much they value a player's talent compared to short-term opportunities.
• Round 2 is dominated by wide receivers: A number of wide receivers selected in recent NFL drafts have made an immediate impact, and multiple wide receivers selected in the second round of the Dynasty Rookie Draft are likely to do the same.

On the PFF Fantasy Podcast, John Macri, Kate Maggiuk, Nick Bodiford and I ran a mock draft of 24 picks in the Rookie Superflex League. You can view the entire draft, including the reasoning behind each pick here. This is an overview of the draft, including my thoughts on how it went and how this is similar or different from the draft you'll be participating in.
1.01 – QB Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears, Kate Maggiuk
1.02 – WR Marvin Harrison Jr., Arizona Cardinals, Nathan Janke
These two players will likely be the first two picks in the superflex draft. Typically, in a rookie draft, there is a large difference between the No. 1 and his No. 2 player, and a smaller difference between the No. 2 and his No. 3 player. In the Super Flex League, the difference between 1st place and his 2nd place is relatively small, and the difference between 2nd place and his 3rd place is even larger.Harrison is in front of me. Dynasty rookie ranking meanwhile John Williams goes first. If you have the first pick, it's fine to break ties based on positional needs based on the team's current roster.
1.03 – QB Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders, Nick Bodiford
1.04 – WR Malik Nabors, New York Giants, John Macri
1.05 – QB Drake Maye, New England Patriots, John Macri
The following selections were expected. Myself, John, and recent FantasyPro experts place these three of his players somewhere between his third and her sixth in this order. They were five of the top six picks in the NFL Draft. Los Angeles Chargers receive an offensive tackle Joe Alto, and four of the top five players on our big board. All three quarterbacks must be opening day starters, and both wide receivers must be the top targets for their respective teams.
1.06 – WR Ladd McConkie, Los Angeles Chargers, Nick Bodiford
The draft could go in any direction here.We can have a discussion about the next quarterback. JJ McCarthythe next running back in Jonathan Brooks, the next tight end. Brock Bowersor one of several wide receivers.
There are wide receivers with high draft capital. Roma Odunze and brian thomas jr.a wide receiver who landed with a great quarterback. Rudd McConkie, Keon Coleman and Xavier Wertya wide receiver listed as a top 40 overall player by PFF and most major boards. Adonai Mitchell and troy franklin.
Nick pointed out multiple times that McConkey should be able to contribute to the offense right away.I rank McConkey higher Roma Odunze or Xavier Werty In my redraft ranking. Some value a player's ability to make an immediate impact more than others. So you can see these wide receivers being selected in different orders.McConkey is nearing the end of the first round in the Consensus Dynasty Superflex Rookie Rankings
1.07 – WR Roma Odunze, Chicago Bears, Nathan Janke
1.08 – QB JJ McCarthy, Minnesota Vikings, Kate Magjuk
These two choices were as expected. They are the top two in the consensus ranking, my ranking, and John's ranking. I have some concerns, drake maywas in a hurry, so Odunze was ranked higher than May. Most seasons, it's unusual for a dynasty to have a top-10 NFL draft pick in the late first round of the rookie super flex draft. These kinds of picks are worth more this year than in the past.
1.09 – RB Trey Benson, Arizona Cardinals, Kate Magjuk
This was the second big surprise of the first round. It wasn't surprising that it took this long for the starting running back to be selected, but it was a surprise to him. trey benson To be chosen before Brooks.
Brooks was the first running back selected in the draft and the highest-ranked running back on our big board. He also ranks high in most dynasty rankings. Brooks' main competitors are tuba hubbard On the other hand, Benson james conner.
Cate mentioned Benson's long-term turnaround in the Cardinals' offense.combination of Kyler Murray, Marvin Harrison Jr. and trey mcbride should make arizona This will be one of the best offenses in the next few years. Conner was one of the best running backs last season, but he has an extensive injury history and is old for a running back. Benson will have a few weeks this season where he can be a fantasy starter, but he could be even more if he plays well.
1.10 – TE Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders, Nathan Janke
1.11 – WR Keon Coleman, Buffalo Bills, Nick Bodiford
1.12 – WR Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs, John Macri
2.01 – RB Jonathan Brooks, Carolina Panthers, John Macri
2.02 – WR Jarrin Polk, New England Patriots, Nick Bodiford
2.03 – WR Brian Thomas Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars, Nathan Janke
The order of these players is up for debate, but most of the time.Brooks and Brock Bowers They are the consensus top players at their positions and could be drafted before this point if the team has a clear need at either of these positions. brian thomas jr. and Xavier Werty He was the fourth and fifth wide receiver selected in the NFL draft. Keon Coleman is similar to Rudd McConkie He's a top second-round pick in that he could be a top target on a team with an elite quarterback.
Most of these players made their picks one or two spots later than the consensus. trey benson and Rudd McConkie Typically, these players fall within this range and are given picks, but it wouldn't be surprising to see a surprise player late in the first round in any league. Normally it would be the second round, but there are still two first-round quarterbacks who could be evaluated in the first round, as well as highly rated second- and third-rounders heading into the draft. There are also many wide receivers.
Pork is the only surprising choice in this range. brian thomas jr. In my opinion, this draft is a steal, but I may be biased since this was my choice.
2.04 – WR Malachi Coley, New York Jets, Kate Maggiuk
2.05 – WR Roman Wilson, Pittsburgh Steelers, Kate Magjuk
2.06 – QB Bo Nix, Denver Broncos, Nathan Janke
2.07 – WR Ricky Pearsall, San Francisco 49ers, Nick Bodiford
2.08 – WR Xavier Leggett, Carolina Panthers, John Macri
2.09 – WR Jermaine Burton, Cincinnati Bengals, John Macri
2.10 – QB Michael Penix Jr., Atlanta Falcons, Nick Bodiford
2.11 – WR Adonai Mitchell, Indianapolis Colts, Nathan Janke
The second round was full of wide receivers, which speaks to where the talent is in this draft. All of them were selected in the late first to third rounds of the NFL Draft.we witnessed jayden reed, Rashi rice, tankdel, josh downs and michael wilson Last season, everything offered fantasy value at times; christian watson, Wan Dale Robinson and george pickens That was the case in the previous season as well. All of the wide receivers selected here should play in three sets of wide receivers as rookies.
The only picks other than wide receivers were two first-round quarterbacks. They would likely be a third-round pick in single-QB leagues, but the superflex format would make them a second-round pick.
2.12 – RB Audric Estim, Denver Broncos, Kate Maggiuk
Only two running backs were selected out of the first 23 picks. One or two more running backs may be selected at the end of the second round, but this speaks to a relatively weak running back class and poor landing for most backs. There is.
Ten running backs were selected in the first four rounds, but some of the landing spots were miami Dolphin, san francisco 49ers, arizona cardinals, new york jets and Los Angeles Rams. All five teams had running backs who ranked in the top 10 in PFF offensive performance last season.of philadelphia eagles and green bay packers A big-time running back who was once in the top three in PFF grade was added as a free agent. This will remain Jonathan Brooks with carolina panthers those who have already been chosen, and then ray davis with buffalo invoice and bucky irving with tampa bay buccaneers Both are expected to be on the reserve this year.
Kate selected a running back in the fifth round here and landed one of the better chances. Javonte Williams He looked great as a rookie, but hasn't been the same the past two seasons due in part to injuries. Jaleel McLaughlin He performed very well, but never played more than 21 snaps in a game. Samaje Perrine He was Denver's exclusive receiving back. An argument could be made that Estim is one of the most impactful rookie running backs in his first year.
