Durham, North Carolina – Duke University Athletics announced Monday that it will add a Devils Deck to Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium.
Available for the 2024 season, this all-inclusive, tiered deck spans seven sections and can accommodate more than 1,500 fans, providing a unique social experience as tailgaters continue watching the Blue Devils compete on the gridiron.
“I watched from afar last season how a great atmosphere at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium can impact the game,” the Duke University head coach said. Manny Diaz “This year, we wanted to take the game day experience to a new level, and the addition of the Devils Deck will allow fans to enjoy a special, fun tailgate atmosphere while still watching the game inside the stadium. We'd like to thank Executive Director of Marketing Chris Alston and Associate Director of Athletics Bob Wiseman for spearheading this exciting project.”
Devils Deck was conceived in collaboration with WME Sports as part of Duke's ongoing effort to elevate the brand and associated experiences. Designed for both individual fans and groups, Devils Deck features standing and general seating areas throughout the roaming space. Fans can enjoy all-you-can-eat tailgate food and non-alcoholic beverages, purchase beer and soda, and participate in rotating Yard games. With an electric atmosphere created by in-game DJs, Devils Deck redefines the gameday experience at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium.
Renovations to the north end of the stadium will reduce the official seating capacity from 40,004 to 35,018.
Devils Deck passes start at $45 per person if purchased up to 24 hours before kickoff and $55 if purchased on the day of the game. Duke University student rates are $35 per person. Group reservations may also be purchased prior to the day of the game. In addition to the Devils Deck Pass, a valid game ticket is required. Fans can purchase this add-on online at goduke.com/footballtix or by calling the Duke University Athletics Ticket Office at 919-681-BLUE (2583).
In addition to the addition of game day host Rachel DeMita on the Devils' deck and in-venue videoboards and on social media, Duke plans to announce further game day enhancements over the coming weeks.
Duke's 2024 season opener is scheduled for Friday, August 30, when they will host Elon University at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium with a kickoff of 7:30 p.m.
