Drake and Kendrick Lamar's rap beef recently drew attention to the sports world as “Euphoria” played in the background on TNT. Inside the NBA.
The show's roundtable hosts, which aired on Wednesday (May 1), were surprised to hear disses about Drake played in the background, and Kenny Smith was quick to point out that they weren't on either side. It seemed like he was choosing to appear, and I realized that I didn't want to appear.
“Why do you put us in the middle of a rap beef! Come on, man!” he asked with a laugh. You have to play on the side as well.”
When Shaq asked, “Is there 'euphoria' in the background?” it took him a minute to realize what was going on. But once he confirmed that to be the case, he was thrilled with the bold choice by his DJ on the show.
But Charles Barkley didn't come here to do that, and he shook his head and said: Grown ass men,” to which Shaq replied, “Mind your own business.”
Meanwhile, fellow host Ernie Johnson Jr. didn't seem to understand or care about the conversation and cheerfully tried to continue talking about basketball.
On another sports show, Cam'ron and Massey also recently discussed Kendrick Lamar's “euphoria” that's reality – and they were not shocked by what they heard.
The Harlem rappers-turned-sports personalities shared their thoughts on the explosive track on Wednesday's (May 1) show, and both said 6 God has won the battle so far. I agreed that I was doing it.
“Drake definitely wins from an MC standpoint,” Massey said, praising the Toronto native's own recent diss songs “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle.”
“It took me a while to get the record from Kendrick, but if I wait a while it should be gone from this world. I wish Kendrick had dropped this record right after.”[Push Ups] Drop it and give me 50.’ That would have been crazy. ”
Kira Kam added, “I think Drake wins.'' 'Euphoria' didn't really impress me. I expect Kendrick's lyrics, and you expect certain things too. The song was a little long, so it took too long to come out. Please pause. I'm not saying that's bad. ”
Mr. Murda interjected. “It was a good record.” [but] I didn't have to wait long for a good record. […] It's like when I did “Curtis” [Cam’ron’s 50 Cent diss song], that means the record has to include something that Kendrick's record doesn't. ”
He continued: and when he did that, “I don't want to hear you say 'nga'.” It was an angle we've already heard before. ”
