We are looking for volunteers like you for our spring program!
Every spring, the DinoMights organization brings 7- and 8-year-olds (1st and 2nd grade) from Minneapolis and St. Paul to teach them how to ice skate. This 6-week program teaches children the basics of skating in a very inclusive and encouraging environment.
Skating for the first time, which is the case for most of the children they work with, can be a very intimidating task. With the help of the DinoMights staff and many wonderful volunteers, you can minimize the lack of confidence that comes with stepping into the unfamiliar world of hockey. Throughout the program, children's smiles and confidence grow. When you volunteer, you will be a part of many memorable and important moments that children will share and experience for the rest of their lives.
There are still many barriers preventing children from participating in the world of hockey, but DinoMights provides a solution by bringing children from often overlooked communities into the Learn 2 Skate program and having fun .
DinoMights is looking for volunteer groups and individuals to help tie skates or lend a hand on the ice. They look forward to meeting you!
