The Carbon Dinos hosted the Litchfield Wildcats on Friday night for the second time this season. Litchfield struggled defensively as Carbon scored six goals in the first half and four more in the second half.
Case Griffeth led the team in scoring with three big scores in the game, bringing his total to five points on the year. Tyler Morris had a great game overall, recording two goals and three assists. Morris has scored 10 goals this season. Connor Cunningham scored two goals against the Wildcats, giving him six points on the season.
Logan McEvoy was typical of his teammates, recording four assists in the game and scoring his seventh goal of the year. Luke Brady had his sixth goal and fifth assist of the year, Mason Enger also had a goal and Sam Dart had an assist.
With this overwhelming victory, this year's Dinos soccer team now has a record of 10 wins and 1 loss. Their one loss was against the Manti Templars, who they will play on Wednesday. The Templars have a perfect 10-0 record this season, allowing just one goal this year. The Dinos will need to do their job with local leaders.
This means Carbon has two games left before the state tournament. Their next game will be against the stout Manti Templars, and on Friday they will take on their crosstown rivals in Castle Dale.
