Tonight (Saturday, July 6, 2024) live from Honda Center in Anaheim, California, we bring you a combat rematch between two longtime mixed martial arts (MMA) practitioners. Nate Diaz versus Jorge “Gamebred” MasvidalSure, it'll be a punching-only bout, but is anyone really upset that these two stand-up-focused fighters won't be able to take to the ground?
Let's fight!
Both fighters are known for their bad tempers and nasty attitudes outside of the ring and cage, and as these two “gentlemen” have grown older and matured, that hasn't changed one bit.
The card, which kicks off at 9pm ET/6pm PT, is made even more appealing by a surprisingly stellar undercard featuring some household names and unbeaten prospects for any boxing fan. Former IBF and WBA middleweight champion (and osteosarcoma survivor) Daniel Jacobs (37 wins, 4 losses, 30 KOs) Shane Mosley Jr. (21-4, 12 KOs) in the evening’s co-main event.
There is a chance of going undefeated Sean Garcia (7-0-1, 2 KOs) — younger brother of boxing's current Icarus; Ryan Garcia — Who is against it? Amado Vargas (10-0, 4 KOs) Son of former IBF/WBA light middleweight champion Fernando Vargas.
Finally, the main card will be rounded out by former WEC and UFC lightweight champion, Anthony PettisDiaz will face off against his longtime teammate. Chris AvilaAvila has found success in the world of influencer boxing and is on a five-fight winning streak as a spoiler in the combat sports world. Anthony Taylor and Paul Bambadefeating another former MMA fighter. Jeremy Stephens.
The fight card will be available to purchase on Fanmio, UFC Fight Pass and DAZN (here) in select countries for the affordable price of $49.99.
