Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Yesterday, boxing star Ryan Garcia was suspended for one year from professional boxing after testing positive for the drug Ostarine in his bout against former title holder Devin Haney (watch the highlights). In addition to the suspension, Garcia's win over Haney was declared a “no contest”, costing him $1.1 million in prize money and a $10,000 fine.
That may not be the end of it.
After all, Haney is the man who was wronged by Garcia's PED allegations. Though he was officially undefeated again, Haney was still repeatedly shaken by Garcia's punches and the crowd watched him suffer defeat. According to Haney, the bout with Garcia (who wasn't even at the weight limit) hurt his reputation and market value, lowering the bids for his next fight.
Someone has to pay the price, and Haney is desperate to make Garcia pay, which is why “The-Dream” is threatening legal action.
‼️ Devin Haney has declared that he plans to take further legal action against Ryan Garcia after he serves his one-year drug ban. Haney is adamant that he would have made more in his next fight if the Garcia incident hadn't happened, and he thinks Sander Martin's bid shows that…

“[The bout] “It's definitely had a big impact,” Haney explained to Title Sports Network. “I haven't made $1.5 million since I first signed with Matchroom, so it's affected me. My lawyers and my team are going to do what they have to do to prove it in court against Ryan Garcia and we're going to take legal action, because it's affected me, not just financially, but mentally and everything.”
Garcia, meanwhile, denied it all on Twitter and threatened to go to the UFC, so we may soon see him defend himself in court.

Gervonta Davis is really good with words.
In my opinion, the more esoteric the reference, the better the swearing. A masterful piece of work by Islam Makhachev (or his manager Ali Abdelaziz, or Ali's ghostwriter).
Condolences to Michael “Hachiko” Chandler
