Deontay Wilder's fiancée Terri Swift has reportedly been granted a temporary restraining order against the former heavyweight champion.
This comes according to a recent report from TMZ, which claims the 38-year-old, who has been contacted but has yet to comment publicly, abused her multiple times over the past six years.
Swift, who began dating the American boxer in 2015, filed for a restraining order in Los Angeles over the weekend and it was granted on Monday.
The order, issued just two days after Wilder was brutally knocked out by Chinese boxer Zhang Zhilei in Saudi Arabia, requests that he stay at least 100 yards away from Swift and her daughter until both appear in court on June 25.
Swift, 37, accused the man known as “The Bronze Bomber” of choking her “at least five times” since the beginning of 2018.
The complaint also states he spat on her several times and “nearly suffocated” her by pressing a pillow over her face for an extended period of time.
Swift also alleged that in mid-April, Wilder accessed her laptop without her consent and sent disturbing messages to both her personal and professional contacts.
Wilder also allegedly regularly taunted and threatened Swift, and even demanded sex with her “three times a day.”
She was reportedly evicted from her family's Atlanta home on April 15, despite being recovering from a recent invasive surgery, and has been living in her parents' home in the Los Angeles area ever since.
Swift, who became engaged to Wilder six years ago, took her 6-year-old daughter with her.
But she claimed Wilder had been watching them through his home surveillance system, adding that she feared he would become violent towards her again when he returned to his Los Angeles home after Chan's defeat.
She said: “Deontay has expressed enraged feelings towards me since April and has been physically abusive towards me in the past, which is why I believe there is a risk he may become physically violent towards me upon his return in June.”
The couple previously appeared on the reality TV show WAGS Atlanta.
Wilder, who lost his status as WBC titleholder after his epic trilogy with Tyson Fury, has eight children – three boys and five girls.
This includes Kaori Lee Wilder, his son with Swift, and his four children with ex-wife Jessica Scales.
For Wilder, the 2020 rematch with Fury was the first loss of his career, as the first bout with the Gypsy King ended in a draw.
He suffered a knockout loss in the 2021 trilogy and then went on a lengthy hiatus.
But he returned and brutally knocked out Robert Helenius before losing to Joseph Parker in December and then to Zhang, his fourth loss in his last five fights.
