The Washington Demon boys soccer team suffered a 4-1 loss Friday at Clear Creek Amana. Despite a goal from senior Manny Raymundo, Washington fell behind 3-1 by halftime and was never able to recover.
With last night's game against Keokuk canceled, the Demons finished the regular season with a 10-3 record. Washington went 8-1 in the Southeast Conference, winning the conference outright for the first time in program history and earning its second season with at least a share of the title.
The Demons will now prepare for the postseason, which begins Monday when they host Fort Madison in the Class 3A Substate 2 semifinals.
