Men's Gymnastics: Athletes to Watch
You may know Frederic Richard from TikTok, but if not, he'll be making his Olympic debut on the mat in Paris.
Richard, who placed second at the U.S. National Championships and first at the Olympic Trials, is a welcome addition to the men's gymnastics team as they look to win their first medal since 2008.
Returning to the mat will be Brodie Malone, who suffered a career-ending knee injury last March, but is fully geared up for the Paris Games and hoping to bring home a medal on his speciality, the horizontal bar.
“You never know how much you want something until it's taken from you,” Malone said, “and that's exactly what happened here.”
Men's Street Skateboarding postponed due to bad weather
If you watched the opening ceremony last night, you may have noticed heavy rain pelting Paris.
Bad weather also forced organizers to postpone the men's street skateboarding competition, which was originally scheduled to start this morning in Paris' largest public square, the iconic Place de la Concorde, where the half-pipes, skate ramps and grind rails set up for the competition are still soaking wet and slippery.
The event has been postponed until Monday, July 29th.
Spectators will have to wait to see Japan's 14-year-old skateboarding sensation Ginyu Onodera, one of the favorites to win a medal in Paris.

Twins Kelly and Annie Xu are ready to compete in badminton after taking time off for college and accounting careers.
With twin sisters Kelly and Annie Xu on the other side of the badminton net, it will be difficult for opponents to strategize each other's weaknesses and strengths in a fierce battle.
“It's very difficult for the other team to say, 'Hey, whoever's not up to it today,'” coach Harry Tan laughed.
Though the sisters are unique in every way, their play on the badminton court has made them a unique force, helping them qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics in doubles after a four-year hiatus in which they barely picked up a racket.

Olympic Village? Try the Olympic Cruise Ship
This year's Olympic surfers won't be heading to Paris.
Instead, athletes will take to the waves in Tahiti, forgoing the famous Olympic Village in favour of a cruise ship docked near the competition venues.
This will be the first time that Olympic athletes will spend the Games in a so-called “floating Olympic village.”
That's because the nearby village of Tschoupo was found to be too small to provide suitable options for arriving athletes, and the Paris Olympic Committee requires all athletes to stay within 45 minutes of the competition venues.
The Olympic surfers will stay at Aranui 5, each with their own private room complete with a real bed and ocean views, plus access to the fitness centre, outdoor pool, library, spa and panoramic bar.
