The Olympic boxing competition begins on Saturday, July 27th and runs until August 10th.
The qualifying rounds will be held at the Roland Garros Stadium, with the medal rounds taking place at the North Paris Arena in August.
For those wanting to follow the journey of the Paris fighters, there are streaming and TV options available.
Here's how to watch Olympic boxing.
How to watch Olympic boxing
- peacock: Simply put, Peacock is not only the easiest way to watch Olympic boxing, but it's a great way to watch any sporting event. A subscription to the streaming service costs $8 a month, which is probably a pretty good deal for fans who are only interested in the Olympics. If you want to watch any of Peacock's other programming, it's a must.
- tv set: In addition to Peacock, many of the top Olympic boxing matches will be available on one or more of the following networks: USA Network, CNBC, Telemundo, and NBC Universo. This should be enough for fans who are only interested in watching certain fighters, or who have a more casual interest and don't feel like checking out multiple bouts.
Olympic Weight Classes
For those new to Olympic boxing, the weight classes are a bit different than the professional weight classes. Here's the breakdown of the men's and women's divisions:

- Lightweight (63kg)
- Welterweight (69kg)
- Middleweight (75kg)

- Super Heavyweight (+91kg)

- Lightweight (60kg)
- Welterweight (69kg)
- Middleweight (75kg)
Which fighters to watch at the 2024 Olympics?
The boxing movement in Uzbekistan is serious.
Israil Madrimov will defend his WBA super welterweight title against Terence Crawford on August 3. I spoke with him a few weeks ago about the fight.
Among Madrimov's compatriots, there are some who are strong contenders to win gold in their respective weight classes. Khasanboy Dusmatov and Bakodir Yarolov are two of the favorites. Both have already turned professional. Yarolov is a super heavyweight who is already 14-0 and is promoted by Top Rank.
Dusmatov, a flyweight fighter, won a gold medal at the 2016 Olympics in Brazil and will be hoping to add another title to his trophy case.
Ireland's Kelly Harrington is also a gold medal contender and one of the favourites in the women's lightweight division. She won gold in Tokyo and the 34-year-old is one to watch in that weight class in Paris.
On the U.S. side, the favorite to win the gold medal is Jamal Harvey.
It's hard to believe it's been 20 years since an American won an Olympic gold medal. Hall of Famer Andre Ward was the last American boxer to stand at the top of the podium.
The 21-year-old from Oxon Hill, Maryland, is gunning for gold at 57 grams (featherweight), and if he achieves that goal, he'll garner even more attention from promoters in the U.S. and around the world.
If you're an American boxing fan, you'll want to keep an eye on Harvey.
