- Although Till's foray into boxing didn't bring in the big bucks, he still sees it as a financial step up.
- The match with Muti ended in chaos and the two men got into a brawl after the match.
- Despite being plagued by visa issues and limited options for big fights, Till remains hopeful about his boxing career.
Darren Till's foray into boxing may have been his first cash cow in combat sports since leaving the UFC, but it doesn't appear to have been particularly lucrative.
Till, who requested his release from UFC in February 2023 with plans to return at some point in the future, was scheduled to fight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on the undercard of the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight on July 20.
The bout never happened due to visa issues and Mike Perry filling in for an ill Tyson at the last minute. Instead, Till made his debut on short notice against Mohamed Moutier at Social Knockout 3 in Dubai on Saturday.
The bout ended with a second-round knockout victory for Till after Muti refused to continue due to a punch to the back of the head, and in post-bout chaos the two fighters brawled until security intervened.

Speaking on “The MMA Hour,” Till revealed that while it was his biggest boxing payday since his last UFC fight in December 2022, it wasn't a huge amount.
“It was fine. I bought the kids clothes and stuff like that. [myself] “I don't know what we're gonna buy with that, Five Guys or whatever. We're fine. It's a little bit of money. It's the most money I've made in 18 months, man I've struggled. Without the block assets, man I'd struggle, man I'd drown.”
After initially writhing in pain, Muti lunged at Till, sparking a brawl that was ended when security and his team intervened. Till admitted to hitting Muti in the back of the head, but suggested his opponent was looking for an escape strategy. “I 100% did that… I think in the second round I hit him with a jab,” Till explained. “I saw his whole face dig into me and I think he was saying, 'Uh, I need an escape route,' and that was clearly his escape route.”
