BJJ superstar Danielle Kelly will make the first defense of her ONE Atomweight Submission Grappling World Championship in primetime action in the United States when she steps into the ring at ONE Fight Night 24 at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium on Friday, August 2. First up for a shot at gold will be Maysa Bastos.
Kelly defeated rival Jessa Khan to win the inaugural title at ONE Fight Night 14. As important as that historic night was for Kelly, now she has an even bigger target on her back with the gold medal – a burden she believes she is ready to shoulder.
Bastos made a strong impression during her ONE Championship debut at ONE Fight Night 20 in March, defeating Kanae Yamada via unanimous decision. Though she was unable to submit, Bastos showcased her grappling skills and controlled the bout.

For those who know Bastos, this is no surprise. She is a nine-time IBJJF World Champion and has won medals all over the world. Now she has a chance to break out as a global star on the world stage against an American sensation.
The Philadelphia native has become one of the faces of the sport, but this matchup may be her toughest yet. This high-level grappling match will be fast-paced and will have fans excited to see who will walk out with the belt in Bangkok.
ONE Fight Night 24 will broadcast live from Bangkok on Friday, August 2. Fights will kick off at 8pm ET/5pm PST. The event will be available to watch for free for all Amazon Prime members in the US and Canada.
