Dana White reacts to Ian Machado “Garry”'s win over Michael Page at UFC 303.

UFC 303 took place last Saturday, June 29th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Unbeaten Ian “Matcha” Machado-Garry (15-0 MMA) faced Michael “MMA” Page (22-3 MMA) in a welterweight bout, with the 26-year-old Irishman winning by unanimous decision.
Garry previously faced Geoff Neal (15-6 MMA) at UFC 298 in February of this year and won.
Meanwhile, Paige defeated Kevin Holland (26-11 MMA) at UFC 299 in March of this year and won.
While many fans were happy to see “The Future” continue his undefeated streak against “Venom,” Dana White was not happy.
White believes the fight between Garry and Page should have ended in a draw.
Speaking at the post-fight press conference, UFC CEO Dana White said:
“Sean (Shelby) and Mick (Maynard) felt that the fight was going to play out exactly the way it did. We talked about it leading up to the fight. I thought the fight was a draw. If they said the fight was a draw, that's exactly what I thought it was.”
White elaborated further, saying (via MMAJunkie):
“Obviously, Ian won the first round, MVP won the second and the third round was 50-50. The crazy thing was, MVP was in top position and he gave it up. He could have just gone through it and won the round. He got up and gave up top position.”
Did you watch Saturday night? Do you agree with Dana White that the Garry vs. Paige bout should have ended in a draw?
