Damien Anderson continues on a great path in his professional MMA career with yet another finish at Fury FC 92 on June 16, 2024. Though primarily known as a grappler, Anderson has also been working on his Muay Thai skills and has been able to showcase some crisp striking in the little time he has actually spent in the cage. Though it's still early days in his career as an MMA fighter, Anderson is already looking like a top prospect and will no doubt soon start to attract attention from major promotions such as UFC.
Anderson has been one of B-Team Jiu-Jitsu's most successful competitors for quite some time and has held his own at the highest level of the sport, so it was only natural that he would find success on the regional MMA circuit. He made his amateur debut in early 2023 and wasted no time at all moving up the ranks. Anderson won that bout by knockout in the first round and turned pro shortly after, despite spending just over a minute inside the cage.
He made his professional debut later that year and once again Anderson delivered a swift finish, knocking out his opponent in just over two minutes. This latest bout at Fury FC 92 may have been his longest to date but Damien Anderson still delivered a flawless performance. He made it to the second round for the first time in his career and after spending some time working on his striking, he took the fight to the ground and got the tap via rear-naked choke. Anderson is now 2-0 as a professional MMA fighter and it will be interesting to see how far he can go in the sport.
Damien Anderson shared some of the highlights from his second professional MMA fight at Fury FC 92 in a recent post on his official Instagram account.
