There's still June 23, the end of the qualifying period for the 2024 Olympics, but as the Paris Games get closer, countries are starting to consider what their rosters will look like.
You can see the roster being released around the world here. SwimSwam will update the list once the final lineup is known.
Lithuania is one of the countries where national championships were not the only selection opportunity for swimmers. According to Lithuania's selection policy, athletes from the country can qualify for Paris throughout the month of June if they reach Olympic qualifying times for world swimming in sanctioned competitions.
So far, four swimmers have achieved Paris results. Two of her daughters are boys. Danas Lapsis and Alexus Savikas and two women Ruta Meirtite and Kotrina Teterevkova.
Lithuania's previous Olympic individual qualifiers
Lapsis and Teterevkova are the only athletes to return from the 2020 Olympics. In Tokyo, Lapsis' best finish was 8th in the men's 200m free, while Teterevkova's best was 14th in the women's 100m chest.
Ruta Meirtite, the Olympic champion of the 2012 London Games, was suspended during the Tokyo Games. The suspension was due to the now 27-year-old missing three doping tests in one year.
