Morris, a 6-foot-4, 290-pound offensive lineman who grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, came to the University of California with two years of eligibility remaining.

This past season, Morris played in 12 games for East Mississippi Community College and earned All-MACCC honorable mention recognition.
Morris graduated from PURE Academy in Memphis in 2020 and was rated as a four-star prospect coming out of high school by 247Sports. After he played his junior year at Freedom Prep, he transferred to West Memphis High School for his senior year.
Morris received 35 scholarship offers out of high school and signed with Texas A&M in early spring 2020. He also visited Mississippi State and Tennessee before signing with A&M.
