Lisandro Martinez has joined the Argentina national team despite being injured. Here's what he had to say:
“It's nice to see the desire to come even though the club didn't allow me to play because of my injury. I'm surprised by what's happening in other countries who don't feel the same way. .
“Here, we're a family, and you say, 'How long until we get together again?' So you look at another group, you know, because they're playing league games, or the coaches are playing for the players. News broke that a player was returning due to fear of injury.
“They tell Richa he has to come back sooner, but I'm sure he'll say no. It's the same for all of us, but it's great.”
The World Cup champion also said of Alejandro Garnacho:
“He will contribute a lot to this national team. It will not be easy to adapt to this group, but I see him well.
“He's very shy, but I often think he has a big future. It depends on how far he wants to go.”
