Thoughts from the head coach Jay Sobel
“It was great to get out and practice. There was a little bit of wind, but it was good to throw in that. It was really nice to get the guys outside. Still a work in progress. But we're happy with where we are.” “We have an experienced defense and we're working on expanding what we can do. Offensively, we have some new terminology and new installations. There's a learning curve that the offense has to catch up on because of that. We're working hard, and you've seen us get more nervous finishing plays.”
Battle for important defensive positions

Sophomore Ian Bell and redshirt freshman Naz Hill are likely to replace Hawkins.
