Conor McGregor is feeling a little clean-skinned after a series of horrific terror attacks in the republic of Dagestan, the home country of long-time rival Khabib Nurmagomedov.
On Sunday, June 23, gunmen attacked synagogues, churches and police stations in the cities of Derbent and Makhachkala, the capital of the republic of Dagestan, killing at least 21 people, including 16 police officers, and wounding a further 25. CNN reported that attackers “used Molotov cocktails to set the building on fire” at a synagogue in Derbent, and a police officer and security guard were killed outside during the attack.

Dagestan Prime Minister Sergei Melikov said the attack also killed at least six “militants,” one of whom was identified as Gadzhimurad Khagirov, a former mixed martial artist once affiliated with Khabib Nurmagomedov and the late UFC Hall of Famer's father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.

Following this shocking news, Conor McGregor, who is considered Nurmagomedov's biggest opponent inside the Octagon, has been busy tweeting and deleting his thoughts on the situation using the hashtag #ConorWasRight.
Recently, the Irish megastar posted the hashtag again in response to a video by Australian Cossacks that showed Russian security forces raiding Nurmagomedov's Eagle MMA gym in Makhachkala.

Conor McGregor first accused Khabib of having ties to terrorism back in 2018.
McGregor first suggested Nurmagomedov had terrorism ties in 2018, accusing the former lightweight champion's manager, Ali Abdelaziz of Dominance MMA, of being a “lying terrorist informant” ahead of his record-breaking fight with “The Eagle” at UFC 229.
The Washington PostDes Bieler of the NBA later said McGregor's comments were in a 2013 article published by NBA. The Enemy Within: Inside the NYPD's Secret Spy Unit and Bin Laden's Final Plot Against America. In the book, the authors allege that the NYPD and FBI worked with Abdel Aziz until concerns grew that he was a double agent and they began plotting to have him deported.
Abdelaziz, of course, is one of the best-known managers in mixed martial arts, with a client list that includes stars like Nurmagomedov, Kamaru Usman, Justin Gaethje, Henry Cejudo and Kayla Harrison.
