Conor McGregor has sent fans into a frenzy with his latest tirade ahead of UFC 300.
For the past few months, anticipation has been high for the promotion's historic event, UFC 300, which kicks off next week in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Ahead of the event, UFC coach Dana White teased fans about McGregor's possible return in the near future.
White posted a video of McGregor on social media with the caption: “Coming soon…”
To add fuel to the fire, the Irishman himself is teasing fans with his latest social media activity.
McGregor posted a video of himself and also wrote, “Coming soon.”
The 35-year-old hasn't fought in the UFC since losing to Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
One fan responded on social media: “The King is back!”
Another said, “Embrace setbacks, because they only light the fire inside you. Conor McGregor's return to the UFC is a testament to resilience, determination, and an unwavering pursuit of greatness.”
A third fan added: “Welcome back GOAT.”
Another wrote: “LFG Connor the Goat returns for the throne.”
A fifth person commented: “Let's go champ champ.”
In a speech last year, McGregor claimed he was eager to return to the UFC.
he said: “Take me back there. Macs have a lot to offer, and a lot to offer.
“Every figure I've brought into this game has sold more than all of them combined.”
He added, “No one in the history of fighting games has been treated the way I'm being treated at this point.
“From what I've been through to what I've brought to the table. They should open the floodgates for me. I'm waiting! And as I wait, my patience wears thin.”
McGregor said in a speech last month: “A few days ago we received confirmation that all systems are working properly.
“And ‘The Mack,’ ‘The Notorious,’ will be returning to the UFC Octagon this summer.”
