Irish martial arts icon Conor McGregor is back in the spotlight as he steps into the realm of bare-knuckle fighting, this time as co-owner of the Bare-Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC).
McGregor revealed his latest conquest in his trademark cheeky style during the electrifying BKFC Knucklemania 4 event in Los Angeles. His brainchild, McGregor Sports and Entertainment, currently shares ownership of BKFC with Triller and retains a stake in the company.
In a fiery announcement video, McGregor declared: “The infamous Conor McGregor is here. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a big announcement today: Conor McGregor himself and McGregor Sports and Entertainment are now the owners of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Welcome to the big leagues, David Feldman, we made it.”
BKFC chairman David Feldman was visibly excited as he recalled McGregor's cameo appearance in 2023, culminating in a post-fight showdown with Mike Perry. McGregor's desire to test his mettle in bare-knuckle combat is now intertwined with ownership of the sport's premier organization.
Feldman said this during the broadcast of BKFC Knucklemania 4. “Look, you now have the greatest man in all of martial arts as a co-owner of our company… So Conor, thank you, and let’s blow this shit.”
BKFC's expansion knows no bounds, expanding into new markets and international venues. Mr McGregor's partnership promises to increase the organization's global presence, which could include operations in his homeland of Ireland.
McGregor's star power and BKFC's guts set the stage for a new chapter in martial arts history, with bare-knuckle combat taking center stage under the tutelage of some of its most prominent figures.
