Unbeaten lightweight contender Frank “The Ghost” Martin says he's ready to dethrone WBA lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis on Saturday night in Las Vegas, the PPV event marking the 100th Championship Fight Night held at the historic MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Frank Martin: “I feel like this is one of those moments where all the hard work I've done really pays off. With all the work I've done leading up to this fight and all the work I've done over the years, this really feels like a life-changing moment. Now it's my time to come out on top.”
“I just need to stay calm, cool and be myself and not let any of the antics or the crowd or the noise get in the way of me getting the win.”
“I think it will be a great fight. Everyone knows what Tank brings to the table, but a lot of guys don't know what I bring to the table. They know a little bit, but they don't know the full arsenal that I have.”
“I know Tank is explosive and quick. He's got it all. But on fight day, the world will know I've got it all too. So it's going to be two pit bulls biting each other. The best man on the night is going to win.”
“Even if the world is against me, I believe in myself. I know the work I've put in. I feel like I was born to do this. I can feel it in my body. Now it's just time for me to show up and deliver.”
“I expect Gervonta to come out there and give it his all. He's going to do what he does best. I know he's totally going to give it his all for me. I think he feels the energy from me and knows I'm coming to win.”
