AUBURN — Former Alabama defensive back Jaquez Robinson has signed with Auburn University's football program after transferring from Colorado.
The Tigers announced the signing of Robinson on Friday. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound running back spent three seasons at Alabama before transferring to Colorado ahead of the 2023 season.
Robinson was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2020 and was rated the No. 285 player nationally and the No. 21 cornerback by the 247Sports Composite. He was scouted by position coach Charles Kelly, who moved to Colorado in 2023. Robinson followed Kelly to Auburn, and Kelly joined the Tigers' staff in January, so he will not play for him again at Auburn.
Robinson adds another piece to the Tigers' defense, which lost three players to the NFL Draft this offseason in Jaylin Simpson, DJ James and Nehemiah Pritchett and also traded forward Zion Puckett, who attended rookie minicamp with the New York Jets.
Robinson has two years of eligibility remaining.
