After months of anticipation, the ratings are finally here: EA Sports released its list of the top 100 highest-rated players in College Football 25 on Wednesday, and we finally know who the No. 1 quarterback is in this highly anticipated game. Chances are, you've heard his name before.
While these ratings are subject to change and will be updated during the 2024 season, it will still be interesting to see how EA evaluates and grades the returning quarterbacks from around the country ahead of the release of the first college football video game in over a decade.
The original top 100 included eight quarterbacks, but none with an overall rating above 93. This differs slightly from NCAA Football 14, which had 17 quarterbacks with an overall rating of 90 or higher, led by reigning Heisman Trophy winners Johnny Manuel (97) of Texas A&M and A.J. McCarron (97) of Alabama.

Here's a quick look at who will be the highest rated QB in “CFB 25” when the game releases on July 19th.
evaluation: Overall 93
There is no bigger name in sports than Sanders, and his Buffaloes will surely be one of the most recruited teams in the game. The son of Coach Prime made a big impression in his first season at the FBS level, playing under immense pressure with 3,230 passing yards, 31 total touchdowns and just three interceptions. He was able to throw passes to two-way superstar Travis Hunter, the highest-rated wide receiver in the game, and even had a “Show The Ice” viewing celebration during the game.
evaluation: Overall 93
After throwing for 3,941 yards with 28 total touchdowns and six interceptions in his first season as a starter and ranking second in the SEC in total offense, Beck opted to remain in college and pursue another national championship ring. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound senior will wait until his senior year with the program to become a QB1, a rarity in this era of college football, and could be a first-round pick if he has another strong season. Beck is also the preseason Heisman Trophy frontrunner, according to BetMGM odds. Five of his teammates are among the game's top 100 players, including offensive linemen Tate Rutledge (95th overall) and Dylan Fairchild (91st) and tight end Oscar Delp (90th).
3. Quinn Ewers, Texas
evaluation: Overall 92
Ewers, one of three players to grace the cover of CFB25, returns for his third season as the Longhorns' starter and had a breakout sophomore season in which he threw for 3,479 yards with 27 touchdowns and six interceptions, leading the team to a Big 12 title and a trip to the College Football Playoff semifinals. You can get a good look at Ewers in action in gameplay video from Monday's game against Michigan, where he received a 90 rating for throwing ability under pressure, a fairly high 81 rating for speed, and field general ability to help identify pre-snap signs from the defense. He also has a left tackle in Kelvin Banks Jr., one of the best players in the game, with an overall rating of 94.
evaluation: Overall 92
The 49-game starter has already finished in the top 10 in NCAA history in passing yards (14,865) and touchdowns (152) after putting together impressive resumes at UCF and Oklahoma, and now he's looking to win a national championship with Oregon. The Ducks are sure to be one of the most popular teams in the CFB25 with endless uniform options and a deep roster that features four top-100 players, including wide receivers Tez Johnson (91st overall) and Evan Stewart (90th).
evaluation: Overall 90
Milroe is sure to be a fan favorite among gamers as one of the fastest quarterbacks in the country with a speed rating of 91 and acceleration of 93. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound junior rushed for 818 yards (not including sacks) and 12 touchdowns in his first season as Alabama's starter, while also passing 23 times for 2,834 yards en route to a Rose Bowl appearance and a win over Georgia in the SEC title game. His arm and scrambling ability will make him a lot of fun to play for. He'll play behind a strong offensive line that ranks among the game's top 100 players with Parker Brailsford (92 overall), Tyler Booker (91) and Jaden Roberts (91).
evaluation: Overall 90
Dart, a former USC transfer, is in his third year as the Rebels starter and has dramatically improved his play in 2023, throwing for 3,364 yards and 31 touchdowns with just five interceptions for a University of Mississippi team that won 11 games and the Peach Bowl. The combination of Dart, his many playmakers (Tre Harris, Juice Wells, Caden Priescorn) and Lane Kiffin's playbook should make this a very fun game for the Rebels.
evaluation: Overall 90
When healthy, Daniels is one of the most exciting playmakers in college football. The 6-foot-10, 220-pound junior helped Lance Leipold mount a surprising comeback in Lawrence, propelling the Jayhawks into a Big 12 contender heading into 2024. Daniels only played three games last season before a season-ending back injury, but he'll be back and looking to be better than ever. Kansas' combination of Daniels' rushing ability (88 speed, 90 acceleration) with elite back Devin Neal (92 overall) and a host of experienced returning starters should make for a sneaky fun offense to have in games.
evaluation: Overall 90
Gamers looking to be a Group of Five program that will make a deep run in the College Football Playoff will have a blast playing with Salter, as the reigning Conference USA MVP is one of the best dual-threat playmakers in the sport, having passed for 2,876 yards, rushed for 1,089 yards and 44 touchdowns while leading the Flames to the Fiesta Bowl in 2023. Salter's rushing talents (87 speed, 92 acceleration) were utilized heavily in Jamie Chadwell's option offense, which also featured Liberty running back Quinton Cooley in the top 100 with a 90 overall rating.
