Abrianna Garrett may be focused on being a UMSL Triton, but she is also being honored for her days as a Civic Memorial Eagle.
Garrett, a recent CM graduate, was named to Chicagoland Soccer's 2024 Girls All-State Soccer Team, which was announced Friday.
This is another honor for Garrett, who was also named all-state last season.

Garrett, a freshman at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, scored 45 goals and had 14 assists for the Eagles in 2024.
Garrett is CM's all-time leading scorer with 163 goals and 45 assists in four seasons. In a win over Breeze Central on April 11, Garrett scored four goals to become the 11th player in IHSA history with at least 150 career goals.
She scored six goals in a season-opening win over Carboondale and four in three other games.
“She's impossible to replace,” CM coach Eric Jiun said, “Abrianna brings a lot to the team, not just goals but a lot of intangible things.”

“She passed the ball to her teammates and did everything she could to create scoring opportunities.”
Garrett led the St. Louis area with 54 goals and 14 assists last year and was named to the All-State team.
In commenting on Garrett, the Chicagoland Soccer Association praised his versatility.
The comment read: “The St. Louis, Missouri native showed quick, smooth and highly technical play from anywhere on the field.”

“Her ability to get out quickly and finish with poise helped her break the 100-point barrier with 45 goals and 15 assists.”
CM went 15-9 and one tie overall last season and finished tied for second in the Mississippi Valley Conference standings with Mascoutah with a 6-4 record.
Garrett was one of several area players to earn all-state honors from the Chicago-based website.
Other area 2024 All-Staters include Edwardsville’s Kylie Peel (senior), Granite City’s Madison Vasiloff (senior), Edwardsville’s Ellie Neath (junior), Edwardsville’s Genny Burroughs (sophomore), Triad’s Payton Hartmann (sophomore) and Triad’s Kamryn Bohnenstiehl (sophomore).

Allie Treadway (O'Fallon, junior), Avery Hesseldenz (Freeburg, senior), London Luby (Triad, sophomore) and Maddie Mooch (Columbia, senior).
Edwardsville's three all-staters had impressive spring performances.
Burrows, the Tigers' goalie, recorded 9.5 shutouts, including two against O'Fallon, the Class 3A state champion. She allowed just 16 goals in 1,788 minutes for a team ranked fourth in the state, with a goals-against average of just 0.751.
Peel, a recruit from Lindenhurst, recorded 14 goals and two assists for Edwardsville. She scored a goal in each game of the state tournament.

Nease scored 17 goals and added 13 assists for the Tigers.
Granite City's Vassilov, another Lindenwood recruit, scored 27 goals and had five assists for the Warriors.
As part of Chicagoland Football's All-State package, additional outstanding underclassmen were named to the All-State Watch List.
