MONTREAL — CGI Inc. says it has signed agreements with three Prairie credit union headquarters to acquire Celero, a company that provides technology services to credit unions and financial institutions.
Financial terms of the agreements with Manitoba Credit Union Central, Saskatchewan Credit Union Central and Alberta Credit Union Central were not immediately disclosed.

Under the deal, CGI will acquire more than 90 credit unions and Celero's managed services business and forge a new partnership with the central bank.
More than 150 Celero employees will also join CGI.
Celero was formed as a joint venture by three Prairie central banks to provide core banking and other technology services to credit unions.
CGI is one of the world's largest technology and business consulting firms.
