Oklahoma State was known for its high-scoring, fast-paced offense under coach Mike Gundy, and after a struggling season, the Cowboys could be back on top.
When most people think of OSU, they may think of the quick offense and deep passing of the Mason Rudolph and Brandon Weeden era, but over the past few seasons, OSU has struggled to find its groove on offense.
Last season, OSU ranked 55th in the country in scoring with 29.6 points per game. Not only was it the fourth-worst ranking in Coach Gundy's 19 seasons, it was the first time since 2014 that OSU failed to top 30 points per game.
Under Coach Gundy, OSU has had more seasons in the top 10 in points per game than it has had seasons outside the top 50. OSU's most recent season in the top 10 was 2017, when they were fourth in points allowed with 45 points per game.

Although a high-flying attack will make scoring a little easier, the Cowboys' ground attack with Ollie Gordon could be one of the most dynamic and prolific scoring attacks in years.
OSU showed signs of a high-scoring offense last season, as the team turned things around during its bye week and averaged 32.6 points over its final 10 games, good for 29th in the FBS.
The chemistry and talent of OSU's offensive line won't be the only thing that will help them, considering the Cowboys return a lot of players on both sides of the ball, and if OSU's defense can maintain the momentum it had last season, Brian Naldo's unit could give the offense more opportunities and good field position.
Given Ollie Gordon's ability to get the flow going as the game progresses, OSU's fourth quarter scoring could be among the best in college football. While many factors come into play, a quick attack and high-scoring attack could be a mainstay for OSU in the 2024 season.
