Following this weekend's UFC 304 in Manchester, England, UFC continues its road trip next week, heading to Abu Dhabi for a fight night card headlined by top bantamweight contenders Cory Sandhagen and Umar Nurmagomedov.
The card has already undergone some big changes, with a middleweight bout between Shara Magomedov and Michal Oleksiejczuk replacing the originally scheduled co-main event between Nick Diaz and Vicente Luque, and UFC has also signed Jordan Vucenik to make his promotional debut against Guram Kutateladze.
The choice to sign Vucenik will come as no surprise to Cage Warriors and local MMA fans, as “The Epidemic” is currently on a four-fight submission winning streak since losing the Cage Warriors featherweight title to Paul Hughes in a 2022 rematch.
Originally scheduled to face Abdul Kareem Al Selwadi in Abu Dhabi, Kutateladze is currently on a two-fight losing streak after losses to Elf Brenner and Damir Ismagulov and has only stepped into the UFC Octagon three times since joining the company in 2020.
Vucenic made an impression in his lightweight debut, submitting Adrian Kempa in just over a minute at Cage Warriors 174. Now, the 28-year-old Vucenic will have the opportunity to make it two wins in as many weeks when he makes his debut against Kutateladze next weekend at UFC Abu Dhabi.
