Arguably the biggest news to come out of this week's NBA Draft Combine is the story of Bronny James, the son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. Going into the draft combine, Bronny was viewed as a borderline second-round pick at best, but some may have changed their minds after seeing his performance there.
Bronny excelled during training, especially finishing second in the three-point shooting drill. He was only 6 feet 1.5 inches tall without shoes, but also has a 6 feet 7 inch wingspan that helps make up for his lack of height.
Bronny also participated in a combine scrimmage to further increase his draft stock, but his first scrimmage didn't go well, scoring just four points. However, his second scrimmage was a different story, with Bronny leading the team with 13 points. digitz sports app:

This highlight reel showed different aspects of Bronny's game. The son of the Lakers superstar has shown the ability to shoot off the dribble and in catch-and-shoot situations. He also showed that he can operate in the pick-and-roll as well as attack closeouts and set up his teammates at the rim for great looks.
It remains to be seen if his performance at the draft combine was enough to get him drafted, but at least Bronny is increasing his stock and at least increasing his chances. Workouts with teams around the league will likely be a deciding factor in whether Bronny is drafted by the Lakers or another NBA team.
But regardless of the final outcome, Bronny James made a huge contribution with his draft combine performance, and if he remains in the draft as expected, there's a good chance he'll hear his name called on draft night.
Bronny James says his dream is to play in the NBA, but it doesn't have to be with Lakers father LeBron James
Of course, given that Bronny James' father, LeBron James, is a member of the Lakers and the superstar's previous comments about wanting to play in the NBA with his son, there are rumors that LA will draft James' eldest son to appease his father. The idea was abandoned. around it.
Lately, however, LeBron has been less willing to play on the same team as Bronny, and simply wants to share the court with him in some way. And Bronny has made it clear that his own dreams are not focused on playing with his father.
Speaking to the media at the NBA Draft Combine, Bronny emphasized that his dream is simply to make a name for himself by playing in the NBA, not necessarily to play alongside his father. He added that he rarely thinks about the idea of playing with LeBron and is just focused on making it to the league.
